So THAT'S Where He Gets It From

The love of Oreos, working in the garden, and being outside must come from his "work buddy," Grandpa Kyle.

And that little bit of mischevious naughty in Tukk? Grandpa will try to deny that comes from him, but this face is all the proof I need...

Quintessential Summertime

The Tukk Man had his first T-ball experience this year. It was pretty much amazing.

There were donkey kicks on the way to first base, "wunning wike a cheetah" on the way to second base, army rolls between second and third, some sort of rolling/diving ninja move when he headed into home, and a whole lot of falling down and flailing around when diving for a ball in the outfield that almost translated into him nabbing it... so close.
Grandpa Farney foolishly tried to give him some pointers. "You don't have to tell me. I already know how to play," the superstar athlete replied.

We also had our first adventure with swimming lessons. I was seriously afraid that Caulder was going to kill me, his swimming teacher, every member of his class, and innocent bystanders within a 3-block radius when his teacher yanked him off the platform and shoved him underwater the first day... but somehow we all survived. Twist even ended up liking swimming lessons after the first two or three days (and after we invested in some goggles to keep the water out of his eyes).

Tukker earned the distinction of having the best "arrow" move in his class. His big problem was staying afloat when he was on his tummy. His teacher said he didn't have enough body fat to keep himself from sinking. I wish I had that problem.

I was impressed with their diving skills.

And Twist ended up being the only kid in his class to graduate to the next level. Woot!

This Is What We Do

We spend lots of time at our favorite camping spot, the BOG.
We proudly display the magical, romantic gift I bought Cole for our 13th anniversary. Because nothing says "I love you" like plastic pink flamingos.

We have brunch up the canyon, followed by a sweet rock climbing session.
We dress like redneck rock stars.

 We go on 4-wheeler rides.

And take time to enjoy the scenery.

We celebrate birthdays on the mountain (because we're always looking for any opportunity for more cake).

We have wicked slip n' slide sessions.

And we celebrate America with fire and explosions.

We think summer is the bestest.

St. Geezy Girls' Trip

We finally resurrected the St. George girls' trip! We used to go every summer, but it's been years since we've been down to see ...
