Have I Mentioned

How lucky I am?

I don't deserve these 3 mini men, but I sure do love the crap out of them.

My Special Tweasure

Tukk gave me a special present. I was excited, because it came in a giant box, and everyone knows the bigger the box, the better the present.

The giant box held one very magical surprise. A Ziploc baggie full of papers. And a couple of wrappers.

I was really just relieved there were no old, moldy sandwiches or dead bugs in the Ziploc baggie in the giant box. You never know what this dude is going to consider a special tweasure.

Reality's Cold, Man

What I think being a runner in my late 30s looks like:

What it actually looks like:

Icing the knee, icing the hip flexor... and being mocked even by the baby.

If only I could convince Cole that having his wife walk around with a bag of frozen broccoli down her pants is sexy, I'd really be onto something.

Tukker's Zoo Field Trip

Tukk was soooooo excited for his first grade field trip to the zoo.

Caulder sluffed school and Yaya sluffed work to come with us.

We caught the elephant training session, so these huge dudes performed for us. And we saw Zuri eat a whole cantaloupe in one bite. I'm pretty sure I could do that if I really put my mind to it. And if the whole cantaloupe was actually a gigantic cookie.

This little nugget thought the animals were pretty amazing.

But standing up on the train ride was his favorite part.

And this one is growing up too fast. And getting too handsome. How is this happening?

The polar bear was pacing all over the place in his cage. Lunch must've been late.

The lion posed majestically just for us.

We even saw this giant turtle trundle across his pen to get a drink.

The snow cat was having lunch.

I think it would've preferred this tasty morsel... I know I'd like to snack on him.

Tukk had so much fun, especially because we let him pick which animals we visited, since it was his field trip. And we bought him an ice cream. That's pretty much all it takes to make this boy happy.

How Can You Tell

That you're officially in the tweenager phase?

Your son starts pulling faces like this whenever you make him pose for a photo.

St. Geezy Girls' Trip

We finally resurrected the St. George girls' trip! We used to go every summer, but it's been years since we've been down to see ...
